fuel rail relieve valve (pressure regulator) faulty. either you are getting the wrong reading from the sensor and the ECU is shutting down. or. the pressure regulator is not maintaining the correct pressure. you need to have a manual fuel pressure gauge, or just swap out the sensor as they are not expensive.

I've now got the new shape focus 2011 1.6 TDCI Zetec 115bhp and yeah when i drove back from dealer i was like hmm now acceleration in 1st year, it woudl literalyl go to 10mph and that was it i then change to 2nd and it judders becuase 10mph is too low for the 2nd gear.

I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta 1.4 L TDCi. It was starting normally but the engine had major mechanical problems so I have rebuilt it and put it back in without touching any electrical part. Now I'm trying to start the engine but no luck so far. Here's what I've tested so far:
It could be a wiring problem in the bus between the diagnostic connector and the ECU. It could be the ECU has gone off into a sulk for some odd reason. Have you tried the old trick of powering it down (disconnect battery) for a while, and re-connecting. The worst scenario is a problem with the ECU or its connectors & wiring.
